Penguins fed twice a day with fish in Bursa Zoo
Some 17 penguins in a zoo in the northwestern province of Bursa are fed twice a day with European pilchard, the zoo officials have announced on Aug. 18.
"Fourteen penguins were brought from the Netherlands and Belgium in 2017. Three were born here in Bursa," Önder Sevim, the head of the caretakers in the zoo, told Demirören News Agency.

Two lion cubs born in central Turkey
One of Turkey's largest zoos has announced its newest additions, namely, two newborn baby lions.

The Kayseri Zoo in central Turkey is home to more than 1,450 animals of 160 species, including lions, wolves, and deer.
After three lions were born in April, a week ago two more opened their eyes to the world.

Two rescued bears head for US from crisis-hit Lebanon
Two endangered Syrian brown bears were headed to a new life in the United States on July 18 after being rescued from cramped conditions in a Lebanese zoo, two charities said.
