Istanbul Jazz Festival postponed due to COVID-19
The 27th Istanbul Jazz Festival was postponed because of the novel coronavirus, organizers announced on April 24.
The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV) said the festival scheduled for June 27 - July 14 will take place at a later date.
New dates will be announced on the foundation's website.

Five dead, 207 people tested positive
3.563 people had been tested in those 24 hours, out of which 207 people had tested positive for coronavirus.
A total of 3.164 COVID-19 patients were being treated in hospital, including 95 who are on respirators, while 1.094 patients have recovered.
7.483 coronavirus cases had been confirmed in Serbia to date and 54.887 people have been tested for the coronavirus so far.

Remdesivir - Not Effective for Coronavirus Patients
There were hopes that treatment with remdesivir could treat Covid-19.
The search for a cure for the coronavirus across the ocean continues to debate which drug helps and which doesn't. Remdesivir's first tests show that the drug which is used to treat Ebola infected does not offer treatment for COVID-19. Until now, it was thought that it could help fight the epidemic.
Tsiodras: 37 patients and staff at Peristeri clinic have tested positive for coronavirus
Thirty-seven of the 226 patients and employees at a private clinic in Peristeri, western Athens, have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, Greek health authorities said on Friday.
Of these, 17 are clinic employees and are now in quarantine at home.
GCS: 321 new coronavirus infection cases, taking caseload to 10,417
As many as 321 new cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been registered in Romania since the last update, taking the total number of infections to 10,417, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Friday. Of the infected persons, 2,817 were declared cured and discharged from hospital. A number of 241 patients are being treated in intensive care units.
Romania's COVID-19 death toll rises by 4 to 545
Four more people infected with the novel coronavirus have died in Romania, bringing the total death toll to 545, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS), the official coronavirus communication taskforce, reported on Thursday evening. It is about three men and a woman aged 53 to 64.

About 30 new coronavirus cases reported at Peristeri clinic
About 30 new coronavirus cases were reported at a private clinic in Peristeri in western Athens on Thursday.
Tests were conducted after a patient came down with symptoms similar to coronavirus.
Health Ministry spokesman Sotiris Tsiodras and Deputy Civil Protection Minister Nikos Hardalias visited the clinic Thursday.
UMFST to join European Commission's hackathon to identify innovative solutions to COVID-19 pandemic
The George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology (UMFST) of Targu Mures announced on Thursday that it will participate in a hackathon coordinated by the European Innovation Council within the European Commission to identify and develop innovative solutions that can meet the challenges generated by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Two Cats in the US Infected with COVID-19
The animals started coughing and their owners took them to the vet.
Two domestic cats in New York are infected with a coronavirus. Animal studies have proven that they are indeed carriers of COVID-19.
This is the first case in the US to prove that pets are infected with a coronavirus. They were diagnosed after the cats started coughing and their owners took them to a vet.

GCS: 386 new coronavirus infection cases; total exceeds 10,000
As many as 386 new cases of people infected with the novel coronavirus have been registered in Romania since the last update, taking the total number of infections to 10,096, the Strategic Communication Group (GCS) reported on Thursday. Of the infected persons, 2,478 were declared cured and discharged from hospital. A number of 236 patients are being treated in intensive care units.
