Aegean Sea island for sale for $54 million

Some part of 459-acre island, known as Kalem Island off the coast of the Aegean province of İzmir's Dikili district, was put up for sale for 400 million Turkish Liras ($54 million).

Located 500 meters from the Turkish mainland and right across the Greek island of Lesbos, Kalem is known as a frequent destination for daily tour boats in the Aegean Sea.

20 injured people still under treatment, Turkish PM says over strong quake

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım said that 20 injured people were still under treatment after strong quake which hit the Aegean coast of Turkey.

Yıldırım made a statement about the 6.6. magnitude eartquake in the Aegean province of Muğla on July 22.

He said three derelict buildings completely collapsed and  32 buildings were heavily damaged in the Muğla's resort Bodrum.

Prominent business group TÜSİAD wants Turkey's state of emergency to end

The state of emergency declared after the July 15 coup attempt should be lifted immediately, said Cansen Başaran-Symes, the chair of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD), also criticizing discussions on reinstating capital punishment as "worrying." 

Turkish businesses concerned over EU row: TÜSİAD

Companies in Turkey are concerned about rising tensions between the Turkish government and the European Union, according to Cansen Başaran-Symes, chair of the Turkish Industry and Business Association (TÜSİAD). 

Turkey-EU relations are extremely important for businesses, Başaran-Symes said during an interview on private broadcaster CNN Türk on Nov. 18.
