Schools gradually reopening in four quake-hit provinces
With efforts ongoing to bring life back to normal following deadly quakes in Türkiye's south, schools are gradually resuming education in 22 districts of Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Adıyaman and Malatya, the severely devastated provinces.
After the Feb. 6 earthquakes, education was suspended in the cities where the devastation occurred.

Magnitude 4 earthquake shakes Mediterranean region
A magnitude 4.7 earthquake jolted the Mediterranean region on April 15, according to Turkey's disaster agency.
The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) said the quake struck off the coast of Yayladağı district in Turkey's southernmost province of Hatay on 10.40 local time.

Artillery shell fired from Syria lands in Turkey's south, no casualties reported
An artillery shell fired from an area controlled by the Syrian regime landed near a rural area in the Yayladağı district of the southern province of Hatay on the afternoon of Sept. 21, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
The artillery shell hit a rural area near the Pulluyazı military post of the 3rd Border Battalion Commandship.
Syrians now make up almost 4 percent of Turkey's population
Nearly four percent of Turkey's population now consists of Syrians, following the influx of refugees since the start of the civil war in the neighboring country in March 2011.
Over three million Syrians are estimated to be in Turkey, daily Milliyet reported on Sept. 3.
