New property transfer platform launched
The much-touted "digital property transfer file," through which the Ministry of Digital Governance promises purchases and sales in 24 hours, was launched on Wednesday.
However, questions have been raised as to why authorities chose to create a new platform instead of upgrading an already existing one with which notaries submit digital contracts.

Notaries on strike until January 8, with exceptions
The general assembly of notaries' associations has decided to extend a strike that began on November 4 until January 8, but with some exceptions, including for preparing preliminary agreements for real estate sales and acquisitions and cases with rigid timetables.
Strike could block real estate market

Four Property Fraudsters Arrested in Sofia
A group of four property fraudsters was detained in Sofia on 27th of February. According to the investigators, the arrested have committed frauds with 23 properties in the capital city of Sofia. Their victims were lonely elderly people, as well as people with mental health issues.

Bulgarian Farmers are Preparing to Protest over Changes in Farmland Law
Farmers prepare a protest against the new amendments to the Agricultural Land Act, the BNR announced. Although the changes aim to break the frauds with land contracts, farmers think they are unreasonable.
The main frustration of farmers is that all land leases should be re-signed by June 22. In the words of lawyer Detelina Simeonova, there are farmers who have over 1000 contracts.
