New prime minister to be announced on June 12

The name of Serbia's new prime minister will be known on June 12, Vecernje Novosti is reporting on Monday, citing "sources close to the ruling coalition."

The newspaper recalled that front-runners so far to replace Aleksandar Vucic - who will take over as president at the end of May - have been First Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic and State Administration and Local Self-Government Minister Ana Brnabic.

However, former Justice Minister Nikola Selakovic and current Minister of Finance Dusan Vujovic are also "in the running," according to the article.

A cabinet reshuffle is also reportedly on the cards. The daily said that at least one minister is expected to to sacked - "but that does not mean there won't be more changes."
