The EU has praised Serbia's economic growth, outlining challenges regarding structural reforms and competitiveness.

This has been announced by the EU Delegation to Serbia and the Finance Ministry, Tanjug reported.

Bookies Favour Dacic as Serbia's New Prime Minister

Serbian bookmakers rate Ivica Dacic, leader of the junior partner in the ruling coalition, as the most likely man to replace the current Prime Minister and soon-to-be President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, who won the presidential elections on April 2.

Dacic is the bookies' favourite by a wide advantage compared to the second-ranking Minister of Finance, Dusan Vujovic.  

Vujovic to attend Spring Meetings of World Bank Group, IMF

BELGRADE - Serbian Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic will this week attend the 2017 Spring Meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, his ministry announced Tuesday.

The meetings, officially slated for April 20-23, will bring together central bank governors, finance ministers and representatives of major financial institutions.

Vujovic: We are accelerating economic growth

BELGRADE - Serbia is accelerating its economic growth, and the objective is to achieve a 4 pct growth rate in the period to come, says Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic.

"We are projecting 3 pct growth for this year, 3.5 pct for the next two years and 4 pct for the period after that," Vujovic said at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (PKS).

Vujovic: We will reduce public debt to below 70 pct of GDP

KOPAONIK - Serbia's public debt-to-GDP ratio is on a downward trajectory and we are on the verge of reducing it to below 70 pct, Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic said Tuesday.

"We thought we would never get below 70 pct, but now... our projection is that will be at the Maastricht level of 60 pct by 2020," Vujovic said at the Kopaonik Business Forum.
