Three women, one soldier killed in Turkey's southeast

The southeastern province of ??rnak continued to roiled by violence on Jan. 6, with one soldier and three women killed in separate incidents in two districts under military curfew.

A special operations sergeant was killed on the morning of Jan. 5 in front of his home in ??rnak city by outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants, Do?an News Agency reported. 

One civilian killed, two wounded in southeastern Turkey clashes

One civilian was killed and two others were wounded on Jan. 3 during clashes between the security forces and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the restive southeastern town of Silopi. 

Yusuf Ya??c? was killed after he and his family were caught in the cross-fire in the Barbaros neighborhood of Silopi, located in the southeastern province of ??rnak. 

One policeman killed, two officers wounded in PKK bomb attack

One policeman has been killed while a police officer and a soldier have been wounded in a bomb attack by the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in the southeastern city of Diyarbak?r's Sur district, which has been under military curfew since Dec. 2, 2015.

PKK militants detonated an improvised explosive device in Sur on Jan.1, wounding two police officers and one soldier.

One policeman killed in PKK attack in Turkey's southeast

One policeman was killed and five others were injured during a counter-terrorism operation targeting outlawed PKK militants in the southeastern province of ??rnak on Dec. 31, 2015.

Security forces were conducting operations to fill in ditches and dissemble barricades in the Cizre district, which is under curfew, security sources said.

President Erdogan vows anti-terror fight will endure in 2016

Turkey's fight against the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) will be carried on in 2016 with determination, President Recep Tayyip Erdo?an has vowed, claiming that 3,100 militants have been killed so far by security forces in one of the most intensified military campaigns in the last three decades. 

Diyarbak?r's Sur district under curfew for a month

The historical district of Sur in Diyarbak?r has now been subject to a curfew for the past month amid continuing clashes between the security forces and the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants in the area.

Diyarbak?r's Sur district has turned into a zone of continued clashes with a curfew in effect since Dec. 2, apart from a break of only 17 hours on Dec. 10.
