Putin hopes to meet Turkish President Erdogan at regional meeting

Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, quoted by Russian news agencies, said on Tuesday he hoped to meet Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan next month at a regional meeting in Kazakhstan.

"I hope that very soon, on the 3rd or 4th of July, he will be in Astana as far as I know," Putin told visiting Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, referring to the capital of the former Soviet state.

TAV opens new airport terminal in Kazakhstan’s Almaty

TAV Airports, a member of Groupe ADP, has completed a $200 million investment in Kazakhstan's economic and cultural capital Almaty.

The first passengers arrived at the new terminal on June 1 from London, the company said in a statement, adding that the new terminal increases the airport's annual passenger capacity to more than 14 million.

Erdoğan arrives in Astana for Turkic states summit

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has departed for the Kazakh capital Astana to attend the 10th summit of the heads of state of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

According to a statement from Türkiye's Directorate of Communications, the two-day summit held under the theme "Turk Time" aims to facilitate discussions on enhancing cooperation within the organization.

Serbia's Medjedovic defeated in Astana semis

ASTANA - Serbian tennis player Hamad Medjedovic has failed to reach the final of the Astana ATP tournament after losing 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 to American Sebastian Korda in the semi-finals on Monday.

World number 28 Korda won after two hours and 53 minutes.

Medjedovic, who is currently placed 120th in the ATP rankings, will move up around 15 positions in next week's rankings.

Djokovic to play in Paris, Turin and at Davis Cup Finals

BELGRADE - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, will play at the Paris Masters, the ATP Finals in Turin and the Davis Cup Finals in Malaga until the end of the season, according to his official website.

Djokovic will skip the Astana ATP tournament and the Shanghai Masters.
