European Congress of Chimney Sweeps opens in Belgrade
BELGRADE - The two-day 2014 European Congress of Chimney Sweeps, organized by the European Federation of Chimney Sweeps (ESCHFOE) in one of its member states every two years, started in Belgrade on Thursday.
President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) Zeljko Sertic opened the event at Falkensteiner Hotel.

Serbian Gendarmerie officer succumbs to wounds
BELGRADE – Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said Thursday that a member of the Serbian Gendarmerie officer who had received wounds in the Ground Safety Zone in the night between Wednesday and Thursday succumbed to his wounds and died.

This is according to a report published in the Belgrade-based daily Blic.
Partizan bus stoned in Baku
BAKU - Fans of FC Neftchi from Baku, Azerbaijan, have stoned the bus that was taking the players of FC Partizan from Belgrade, Serbia back to their hotel after a training session.
The Serbian team was stunned by the incident on Wednesday, but fortunately no one was harmed, the media in Belgrade have reported.

BELGRADE -- A member of the Serbian police unit Gendarmerie, seriously wounded when unknown attackers opened fire near the administrative crossing of Merdare, has died.
It is suspected that the attackers were timber thieves from Kosovo.
