Bulgaria: A Ukrainian was Arrested for Transporting Migrants on “Trakia” Highway
A 23-year-old Ukrainian national was arrested this morning after being caught transporting 14 migrants from Syria. The district prosecutor's office in Plovdiv is monitoring the rapid proceedings in the case, announced the press center of the state prosecution.
The Village of Belozem Hosts 12th Edition of White Stork Festival
The village of Belozem in South Bulgaria hosts for a 12th year in a row the White Stork Festival, unveiled this Saturday, according to BNR.
The event's first edition was in 2005 when the German EWRONATUR Foundation proclaimed Belozem for European Village of the White Stork.
Bulgarian Village of Belozem Declares State of Emergency
Bulgarian authorities declared a state of emergency in the village of Belozem, located in the province of Plovdiv late on Monday.
The measure was taken after the torrential rainfall had flooded the ground floors of ten houses and several streets.
This was announced by the mayor of Rakovski municipality, Ivan Antonov, daily Dnevnik informs.
Three People Killed in Car Crash Near Bulgaria's Belozem
Three people were killed on Friday night after a severe car collision on Trakiya Motorway. Two more people remain in critical condition.
The incident happened in the region close to the village of Belozem, as cars were travelling from Burgas to Sofia, as announced by the Plovdiv Traffic Police Office.
