Angry farmers stage Germany-wide tractor blockades
Furious farmers opposed to German government plans to cut tax breaks for agriculture used tractors to block roads across the country on Monday in an escalating dispute.
The coordinated nationwide demonstration targeted motorway access ramps in particular, snarling traffic, and followed a smaller ill-tempered demonstration in Berlin last month.

Germany ready to sell Eurofighter jets to Saudi Arabia: minister
Germany is ready to allow sales of Eurofighter jets to Saudi Arabia, Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock said Sunday, having for years blocked arms deals with the Gulf kingdom.
Germany, Britain, Italy and Spain jointly build the jet and each can veto deals.
Berlin has blocked one deal, sought by London, since 2018.
Elvis to get hologram treatment at new London show
A new immersive Elvis Presley show will open in central London later this year, bringing the king of rock 'n' roll back to life with the help of artificial intelligence (AI), organizers said on Dec. 4.
"Elvis Evolution," featuring a life-size digital Elvis performing on stage, is designed to be the first of a series of shows in cities including Las Vegas, Tokyo and Berlin.

Positive end to the year for Greens and Reds
Panathinaikos and Olympiakos finished their year with relatively easy Euroleague wins, as the Greens defeated visiting Red Star Belgrade on Thursday and the Reds overcame lowly Alba in Berlin on Friday.
Panathinaikos played in front of a capacity crowd at the Olympic Sports Hall and won 82-65 for its 10th victory in 17 games.
