Istanbul now trails New York as global diplomatic center: FM
The United Nations and the Republic of Turkey officially launched the new Istanbul Regional Hub on April 23 in a move that made the intercontinental city "the second global diplomatic center after New York," Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavu?o?lu said.
New carrier to again directly link Greece with US, Canada
A new carrier is expected to connect Greece with North America, with SkyGreece Airlines filling a void in direct connections between the east Mediterranean country with cities hosting large ethnic Greek communities.
The new carrier was founded by Greek expatriate businesspeople and is headed by Father Nikolaos Alexandris.
Bulgaria Grants BGN 20 000 to Young Talents Hasan, Ibrahim
The Bulgarian government on Wednesday voted to give BGN 20 000 to twin pianists Hasan and Ibrahim to help them perform abroad.
The money was allocated as funding for international events ahead of a long-expected performance of the two brothers at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Bulgarian Cinema Club Opens Doors in New York City
The first Bulgarian cinema club will open doors in New York City. It is dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Bulgarian Cinema and the appraisal Sofia received by UNESCO as City of Cinema.
Jana Karaivanova, founder and creative director of the Sofia Independent Film Festival and the General Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in New York are the organizers of the initiative.

World renowned Israeli-American violin virtuoso Itzhak Perlman will once again be in Istanbul for a concert on May 28 at Zorlu Center PSM. Perlman previously performed two sold-out concerts in the city in 2013 and 2014.

Kotzias to begin US visit with Kerry meeting in Washington
