'Youthquake' Declared Word of the Year by Oxford Dictionaries
Oxford Dictionaries has deemed "youthquake" the 2017 word of the year, reflecting what it calls a "political awakening" among millennial voters.
It was first coined in the 1960s by Vogue editor Diana Vreeland, who used it to describe sudden changes in fashion, music and attitudes.
Police Evacuated Metro Station in Central London
London Metro Station Oxford Circus was evacuated tonight, police reported a possible connection with terrorism, and eyewitnesses spread footage of people fleeing the area on social media. Then two nearby metro stations - Bond Street and Hampton Court Road - were closed, most likely as a precautionary measure, reports BBC.

Teacher suspended after calling a trans boy a “girl”!
In the crazy world which we live in, a teacher was suspended and may even be fired from his school after he referred to a transgender pupil as a girl, although the student identifies as a boy.
Joshua Sutcliffe, a Christian pastor from Oxford, admitted the…”crime” of saying “Well done girls” when addressing a group of girls that included the student.

Malala Yousafzai Has Been Accepted to Study at Oxford University
Pakistani human-rights and education advocate Malala Yousafzai has been accepted to study at the University of Oxford in the U.K.
The 20-year-old tweeted Thursday: "So excited to go to Oxford!! Well done to all A-level students - the hardest year. Best wishes for life ahead!" along with a screen shot of her acceptance into the prestigious university.
