International children's folklore festival opens in Uzice

UZICE - The 6th Licitar Heart international children's folklore festival has opened in Uzice, western Serbia, with a ceremony that involved its 850 participants.

The festival, which opened late Monday, features 27 folklore groups from 10 countries, which will be performing on nearby Mt Zlatibor, in Mokra Gora, Pozega, Bajina Basta, Visegrad and Republika Srpska until August 23.

UZICE - Over the past year, the Serbian Armed Forces carried out all their tasks in a conscientious, responsible and disciplined manner, Serbian Armed Forces Chief of Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic said on Wednesday.

"The members of the armed forces are used to this and we know no other way of working," Dikovic said at a ceremony marking the Serbian Armed Forces Day.

EU supports social inclusion with over EUR 4 million

UZICE - The EU Delegation in Serbia has announced a call for proposals within the project “Support to the social inclusion of the most vulnerable groups, including Roma, through more diversified community-based social services”, which is funded with EUR 4.35 million from the EU Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) funds.
