Today most of the country will be cloudy and rainy. At places in the central and eastern regions of southern Bulgaria, the quantities will be between 40 and 60 l / sq.m, there will be thunderstorms and hailstorms. It will blow moderate to strong northwest, in eastern Bulgaria - southeast wind.

In the morning, clouds will break and the rain will stop for a while, but even before noon it will start again from the west and will cover most of the country. In the evening the rain will gradually end from the northwest but will continue in the southern and eastern areas overnight, significant amounts expected there. Thunderstorms and hail more likely in southern Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BNSA) received a signal of increased morbidity in an animal-farm in the village of Jernov, Pleven, on July 2, 2019. There are 14 pigs in the farm, two of which died. After the notification of the case in Pleven, an on-site inspection team was immediately established.

Today with temporary interruptions will be short-lived rainfall, in places - mainly in northern Bulgaria and in the mountain regions - intensive and significant in quantity. It will blow a mild to moderate wind from the north-northeast. The maximum temperatures will be between 27 and 32 degrees, according to the NIMH forecast.
 

Today, a cold front will pass through the country, with unstable air masses and development of cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds. Many areas will get rain showers and thunder,  the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) announced.

The warning is in place for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Plovdiv, Pazardzhik and Sofia and Sofia-city. Rainfall of up to 25-30 l/sq. m is expected in these areas, or more in some places.

The late 19th-century synagogue in the northwestern Bulgarian town of Vidin will be brought back to life with a cash injection of around 5 million euros from a combination of EU financial instruments, Bulgarian Regional Development Ministry announced on Thursday.

The warning is in place for the regions of Vidin, Montana, Vratsa, Pleven, Lovech, Sofia, Sofia - district, Pernik, Kyustendil, Blagoevgrad, Pazardzhik, Smolyan and Plovdiv.
