Romania is committed to remaining the most sincere supporter of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, as the neighbouring country reaffirms its determination to strengthen its European path, according to the Joint Statement signed by Romanian President Klaus Iohannis and the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.

Senate President Calin Popescu-Tariceanu on Tuesday had a meeting with Moldovan Prime Minister Maia Sandu, who is paying an official visit to Romania, context in which the Romanian dignitary congratulated her for the confidence vote received from the Legislature in Chisinau and assured her of the Romanian authorities' support in fulfilling her mandate.

Romania and Georgia are planning to get to know each other better and to learn more about each other's history, to mark some of the important moments for the two countries and to develop bilateral economic cooperation, Romania's Ambassador to Georgia Radu Liviu Horumba told an interview granted to AGERPRES.

Bulgaria remains committed to the European integration of Moldova, Foreign Minister Daniel Mitov said at a meeting with outgoing Moldovan Ambassador in Sofia Alexandru Prigorski on Thursday.

Bulgariawill continue to support Moldova with expertise and good practices on Chisinau's path to building closer ties with the EU, Mitov said.
