Archaeologists have uncovered an 8,000-year-old figurine of a woman's upper body in a dig in northwest Bulgaria, reports Euronews.
A team of archaeologists made the discovery near a prehistoric settlement located in the Vidin District, close to the River Danube.

Euronews: Hundreds of farmers in Bulgaria have protested in the capital Sofia against a government mass slaughter of livestock.
The cull was prompted by an outbreak of ovine rinderpest which was found at a farm close to the border with Turkey. The disease is highly contagious but doesn't infect humans and is the first major outbreak in the EU.
European Leaders have Reached an Agreement on Migration
EURONEWS. - European Union leaders have reached an agreement on migration after almost nine hours of talks in Brussels over the sensitive issue threatening their union and zone of free travel, as well as German Chancellor Angela Merkel's government.
"EU28 leaders have agreed on (summit) conclusions, including on migration," the chairman of the talks, Donald Tusk, said.
"Nobody has guaranteed us EU, people are no longer jubilant"
The broadcaster's Sandor Zsiros recalled that Vucic told Euronews two year ago Serbia was "tired of waiting for European Union accession," and asked, "How do you feel now, before the Sofia summit?"
