Turkey Will not Give up on Drilling Near Cyprus, Despite EU Sanctions

European sanctions will not make Turkey to give up on drilling near Cyprus, the Turkish foreign ministry said. Ankara responded to yesterday's decision by EU foreign ministers to take measures against Turkey for its gas drilling in the waters of the exclusive economic zone of Cyprus.

The Bulgarian Prosecutor's Office and the European Investment Bank Signed a Memorandum of Understanding

Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov has signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria and the European Investment Bank (EIB) to  strengthen cooperation and exchange of information between the two institutions, the prosecution announced, quoted by BNT.

For the past five years, the European Investment Bank has provided 1.5 billion euros for the Bulgarian economy. Last year alone, the bank provided EUR 103 million in loans for various projects and the European Investment Fund supported eight projects worth a total of EUR 114 million.

EIB strikes deal with Eurobank on SME funding

Eurobank announced on Monday that two new agreements had been signed with the European Investment Bank for supporting investment plans by small and medium-sized enterprises.

A 100-million-euro loan agreement is destined to offer a credit line to SMEs through the Greek lender, following two more deals already signed totaling 250 million euros.
