The French Institute of Athens is organizing a screening of Francois Truffaut's "L'Enfant Sauvage" (1970). The French film, inspired by real events, tell the story of Victor, a child raised by wolves who is found and introduced to human civilization for the first time at the age of 10. A moving story about society values and the personal relationship between a "wild child" and an adult.

The French-Greek Chamber of Commerce and Industry is holding an event on Thursday at the French Institute of Greece (31 Sina, Athens) titled "Proposals for a Fair and Effective Tax Policy for Enterprises."
The keynote speaker will be the new head of Grant Thornton in Greece, Nikos Karamouzis, while corporate tax experts will offer their insight.

The French Institute has invited Renaud Guy-Rousseau and Markos Kotsias for a clarinet and piano recital of modern French and Greek music, including works by Charles Camilleri, Maurice Ravel and Francis Poulenc, as well as Manos Hadjidakis and Manolis Kalomiris. Admission is free of charge and doors open at 8 p.m.

The French Institute in Athens, in cooperation with the Belgian Embassy, is holdings its sixth Night of Ideas, where members of the public are invited to engage in discussion and debate with intellectuals, academics, artists, documentary filmmakers and other thinkers.

Greece's biggest event dedicated to comic books is back with a strong lineup of events and special guests, including Spain's Raul Allen and Patricia Martin, the UK's Dan Watters and Italian artist Stefano Zanchi. This year's honored artist is Greece's Tasos Marangos (Tasmar). Events will be taking place at the Hellenic American Union and the French Institute from 11 a.m. to 9.30 p.m.

Marking 20 years since its launch, the annual Francophone Film Festival celebrates the cinema of the French-speaking world with a rich program of screenings and parallel events at three Athens venues: the French Institute and the Astor and Danos movie theaters.
