US banks may become more circumspect in granting loans following recent turmoil in the sector, the country's treasury secretary said in an interview to air Sunday, while still predicting "moderate" GDP growth.

Leading British tour operator Thomas Cook announced this week that it has acquired two new properties in Greece, which will take its total number of hotel units in this country to four.

Romania's Prime Minister Viorica Dancila and head of the Federal Foreign Affairs Department of the Swiss Confederation Ignazio Cassis on Monday discussed boosting Swiss investment in Romania and bilateral trade.

According to a governmental press statement, Dancila welcomed Cassis, the head of the Swiss diplomacy, on a visit to Romania.
