Fortune 500 companies’ sales hit 3.2 trillion liras
The combined net sales of Fortune 500 Türkiye companies increased by 65.7 percent in 2021 from the previous year to stand at 3.2 trillion Turkish Liras.
Exports by the Fortune 500 companies rose by 90 percent to 895 billion liras, while their combined net income amounted to 158 billion liras last year, up 138 percent compared with 2020.
Istanbul Airport listed busiest in Europe
Istanbul Airport was the busiest airport in Europe in May by traffic volume as it served a total of 5.7 million passengers, according to data from the Airports Council International (ACI).
London Heathrow, which welcomed 5.34 million travelers, ranked second, followed by Paris's Charles de Gaulle at 5.22 million passengers.

Turkish Airlines resumes ‘Touristanbul’
Turkish Airlines has resumed its "Touristanbul" complimentary service that had been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic for international transit passengers.
The service was relaunched on July 1, featuring six different tours each day, seven days per week.

Turkish Technic, Oman Air sign services agreement

THY targets double-digit growth this year, says executive
Turkish Airlines (THY) aims to achieve double-digit growth rates this year and in 2023, the chairman of the company's board and the executive committee has said.
"We are working hard to meet strong demand for domestic and international flights," Ahmet Bolat told reporters on a flight that marked the launch of the flag carrier's flights to Seattle.
Istanbul Airport second busiest in Europe
Istanbul Airport has been ranked as the second busiest airport in Europe, with 1,247 daily flights between June 2 and June 8, according to data from Eurocontrol.
Flights at Istanbul Airport increased by 2 percent (19) from the previous week. Traffic at the airport mostly comprised of flights by Turkish Airlines, IndiGo and Red Wings, the agency said.
