The investigation into the serious incident at a gas station in Romania continues. The two explosions on Saturday killed three people and injured nearly 60, many of them seriously.
The Romanian Prime Minister ordered immediate checks after reports that the gas station was unlicensed. According to preliminary information, the cause of the accident was a lit cigarette.
2.2 million expats leave country through border gates
More than 2.2 million Turkish expats have recently left the country through the border gates opening to Bulgaria and Greece.
As summer is coming to an end, many expats living in Europe return to their countries of work from Türkiye where they came for vacation.
Greece overall inflation low but food prices are soaring
Greece's Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices was confirmed to have risen 3.5% year-on-year in July, up from 2.8% in June, by the European Union's statistics agency Eurostat.
Despite the spike, Greek inflation is the sixth lowest among EU members: countries with lower inflation are Belgium (1.7%), Luxembourg (2%), Spain (2.1%), Cyprus (2.4%) and Denmark (3.2%).

For the Winter: Bulgaria filled 90% of its Gas Storage Facility in Chiren Ahead of Schedule
The Bulgarian gas storage in Chiren is 90% filled with gas more than two months earlier than the deadline set by the EU to secure stocks for the winter.
Data published on the platform of the non-governmental organization Gas Infrastructure Europe on Friday showed that the target was reached on August 16, at the same time as the EU average of 90% occupancy was reached.
Germany leads in rejecting Turks' visa applications
Germany has emerged as the leader in rejecting Schengen visa applications from Turkish citizens in 2022.
Turkish citizens faced substantial hurdles in obtaining Schengen visas, with a high number of applications being denied by German authorities.
