Cyprus president apologizes for pardoning sex offender
Cyprus's president has publicly apologized for the early release of a man convicted of sexually exploiting a minor, admitting that the decision to grant him a pardon wasn't "well thought out."
President Nicos Anastasiades went off-script at an event Tuesday on combating sexual abuse against minors to offer the apology for making a "mistake."

Tsipras, Anastasiades meet in Brussels
Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras discussed the upcoming tripartite meetings with Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and Israel Sunday.
The two met in Brussels, where the European Council on Brexit took place.
Greece and Cyprus will meet separately with Jordan, the Palestinian Authority and Israel on December 20.

Cavusoglu: Several solutions possible for Cyprus
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavosuglu says it is time to consider alternative solutions to the Cyprus issue beyond the bi-zonal, by-communal federation.
In an interview to Cyprus's Politis newspaper, Cavusoglu expresses Turkey's readiness to discuss other solutions, such as a confederation or two separate states.

Kathimerini Cyprus turns 10
A good-natured and fraternal vibe pervaded the event on Friday, November 16 in the port city of Limassol marking the 10th anniversary of Kathimerini Cyprus newspaper's first issue. The first batch of papers left the printing press on November 1, 2008, and reached Cypriot kiosks on November 2, ushering in a new editorial era on the island.

He was describing the psychological compulsion which drives many writers, in particular, to try to satisfy an inner need.
