Iraqis ban poultry imports from 24 states
Iraq has extended a ban on imports of frozen and live poultry products to cover two dozen countries, including China and South Africa, the government said on Jan. 10.
Baghdad last month restricted poultry imports from France, where an outbreak of avian flu has been reported.

Turkey's Limak Cement is in talks on the acquisition of cement operations in Africa which could be worth up to 1 billion euros ($1 billion), a senior executive told Reuters, though there was no certainty a deal would be agreed.

American rap star Snoop Dogg has shared a photoshopped image of himself in a Galatasaray jersey, leading to social media frenzy among Turkish football fans.
Snoop Dogg, aka Snoop Lion, shared the image on his Instagram account (followed by 5.4 million people) late June 24, with a comment that read "GooooOoaaaaaaallll." More than 110,000 people "liked" the image as of early June 25.

Police found an eight-year-old Ivorian boy hidden in a suitcase that was smuggled across the border into Spanish territory in north Africa, an official said on May 8.
A 19-year-old woman took the case through a pedestrian crossing from Morocco into the small Spanish-governed territory of Ceuta on May 7, a spokesman for the Civil Guard police force said.

Army chief visits Serbian peacekeepers in Cyprus
Chief-of-Staff of the Serbian Army (VS) Gen. Ljubisa Dikovic has visited the soldiers deployed as part of the UN peacekeeping mission in Cyprus.
During his trip on Monday, Dikovic said that the Serbian army members were "performing all tasks within this UN multinational operation in a highly professional way."
