Facing wipeout, Myanmar government vows to 'respect' election

Myanmar's military-backed government vowed on Nov. 11 to respect the country's election result despite staring at a poll wipeout, as opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi called for talks with the president and the powerful army chief.

Suu Kyi's National League for Democracy (NLD) party is on the brink of a majority after it took over 85 percent of the seats declared so far.  

82 migrants captured in Bodrum, as weather conditions worsen

Some 82 migrants in four inflatable boats, in attempt to illegally reach the Greek island of Kos, have been captured by Coast Guard teams on Nov. 8.

The weather conditions and current, along with the high number of boat passengers, have raised risks during the journeys. Despite the risks, some boats and their passengers have survived the journey.
