Bulgaria is potentially exposed to a Grexit contagion more than its neighbors in Southeast Europe, a Morgan Stanley report argues.

"While the direct economic impact of a Grexit looks manageable, we think that the banks are by far the most serious potential channel of contagion," Morgan Stanley Research analysts are quoted as saying, in a Bloomberg article authored by Slav Okov.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday told opening of a cyber security summit in Bucharest that all countries in the region needed to work on cyber security issues together with the US, "as we are facing cyber threats and vulnerability".

Representatives of 17 countries in Central and Eastern Europe are attending the summit and presenting cyber security policies.

In spite of the economic hardship of recent years, Romanians continue to support their country's membership of the European Union, as they associate the 28-member club with the right to free movement, democracy, and human rights and peace with neighboring countries, according to a survey released on Monday.

As many as 75.7 per cent of Romanians agree that NATO membership protects Romania against national security threats, while 45.9 per cent of them expect the US to be Romania's main ally in case of such threats, according to the findings of a recent Inscop poll released on Monday.
