The crucial recognition came after the July 1991 Brijuni agreement, which ended the ten-day war in Slovenia and was the first international agreement between Slovenia and the European Community.
The integration of Slovenia into the international community was followed by recognitions from across the globe and in May Slovenia was already admitted to the UN.
Turkey, Russia to invite US to Syria talks: Turkish FM
Turkey and Russia have decided to invite the United States to Syria peace talks due to be held this month in the Kazakh capital Astana, Turkey's foreign minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said on Jan.14.
Çavuşoğlu also reiterated that Turkey remained opposed to the inclusion of the People's Protection Units (YPG) in the peace talks.
Breaking: Reports say Russian Ambassador to Yemen killed
The Russian ambassador to Yemen has been shot and killed in Sanaa, according to reports coming from the Arab kingdom.
Vladimir Dedushkin was reportedly “keeping a close eye” in the war-torn country.
The diplomat was reportedly assassinated in the capital Sanaa.
The assassination was reported by Saudi Arabia’s Barq news agency.
