Fishermen release 30-kilogram fish into sea to protect nature in Turkey's Antalya

Two amateur fishermen released a 30-kilogram fish into the Mediterranean Sea on June 19 in a bid to protect nature, Doğan News Agency has reported.

Cuma Köksal, 36, and İsmail Okatan, 63, caught the 1.5-meter-long leer fish off the Mediterranean province of Antalya's Konyaaltı beach.

Stone Sculpture Symposium at UNESCO world heritage site

In the Mediterranean resort province of Antalya, the second Stone Sculpture Symposium will be held in the Ka? district, which was recently added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

At the symposium to be held at the ancient site of Xanthos, nine marble seating areas that fit the historical fabric of the site will also be installed.

In a study the university has been conducting for three years, it was found that the rate of contaminated vegetables and fruit were increasing every year.

Halkevi to protest Antalya women’s only beach as example of ‘gender apartheid’

Female and male protesters are planning to swim together at Antalya’s Sarısu beach to protest its recent transformation into a women’s only beach.

The beach was converted into a free-of-charge, women’s only beach and opened with a ceremony on Aug. 16 by Antalya Municipality.
