Bulgaria May Lose EU Presidency If It Stirs Divisions, President Warns
Outgoing Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev has argued Bulgaria may be stripped of its Council of the European Union presidency if it works toward division within the EU.
In his farewell press conference alongside Vice President Margarita Popova, he has said such a move is one of the "big risks" facing the country in the months to come, a step that would be "a shame" on Bulgaria.

Outgoing Deputy Prime Minister Meglena Kuneva presented the logo of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018.
The author of the logo is Todor Angeliev. The logo includes three elements - the Cyrillic alphabet, the traditional Bulgarian embroidery and the Bulgarian flag.

Half of Planned BGN 35 M for NDK Repairs Transferred
Half of the planned BGN 35 M for repairs to the National Palace of Culture (NDK) and the preparation for Bulgaria's presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2018 have been transferred to NDK and some of the money has already been spent, announced the director of NDK.
Repairs to the building will cost BGN 35 M, while the deadline for their execution is September 2017.
170 Participants in Competition for Bulgaria's EU Presidency Logo
170 participants have submitted projects for participation in the competition for a logo for Bulgaria's Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The competition is organised by the National Centre for Preparation and Holding of Bulgaria's Presidency of the Council of the EU and was announced on November 1, 2016.
Vienna Blocks Continuing Negotiations With Turkey
Austria's foreign minister Sebastian Kurz has blocked the joint statement of the Council of the European Union for continuing the negotiations on the accession of Turkey to the organisation.
The EU will not open new chapters in the negotiations with Turkey for membership in the EU, announced Vienna.
