All young people who want to be volunteers in the team of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council will be able to apply until October 20, the Ministry for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2018 announced, reports Bnt. 

Bulgaria is still looking for who to make the art installations to be installed in the Council of the European Union buildings in Brussels during the presidency of our country, reports Mediapool. 

''Together with my Romanian counterpart, Teodor Meleşanu, we agreed that the enlargement of the European Union should continue with the Western Balkans and the Eastern Partnership countries, as it will guarantee the security and stability of the whole continent'', said the Bulgarian Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva. 

''We are ready - on the eve of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union'' - for and open dialogue, the Minister in charge of the Bulgarian EU 2018 Presidency Lilyana Pavlova has told an international conference of the Association of the Honorary Consuls in Bulgaria.

The European Commission's Expert Mission on the Co-operation and Evaluation Mechanism begins work today in Sofia, reported BGNES. The mission will last for three days and includes meetings with representatives of the legislative, executive and judicial authorities as well as independent control bodies.

The intensive work of the Ministry of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union continues to ensure the logistics of the events that will take place in the first half of the year 2018 in Bulgaria. In this connection, a quarter of a million public procurement contract has been announced for the supply of computers and office equipment, reported BGNES.

The Ministry of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2018 terminated the public procurement contract for the design and technical support of an internet site and a mobile application, providing hosting and streaming. The reason - none of the three bidders who have submitted documents have the necessary experience.

Bulgarian border security officials have been forcing Turks living in Europe to give bribes while travelling by land through oppression, the European Parliament's Turkey rapporteur Kati Piri said in a report submitted to the European Commission on Sept. 4. 

At a regular government meeting on Wednesday, ministers will consider a draft resolution approving a report on the state of defense and armed forces in Bulgaria in 2016, reported BGNES.

It is also expected to consider a draft amendment and supplement to the Rules for the Implementation of the Law for Defense and Armed Forces of Bulgaria.

Nearly BGN 1.5 million with VAT will cost the external and internal advertising of the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the European Union, launched on January 1, 2018. The deadline for submitting offers ends today, BGNES reported.
