Committee finds military agency did not breach law

Deputy Chief of Defense Neyko Nenov passed away on Wednessday, the Defense Ministry has said.

BELGRADE -- Defense Minister Bratislav Gasic and Dragan Sutanovac, who in the past held the portfolio, on Monday argued over accusations of warrantless spying.

This concerns the recent claims that the Military Security Agency (VBA) is spying on political parties without first obtaining court permission.

As many as 180 troops are to be deployed at the Bulgaria-Turkey border, Defense Minister Nikolay Nenchev has said.

The soldiers will be in charge of providing logistic support to Border Police, the Interior Ministry subdivision in charge of safeguarding border security.

"Policy of military neutrality, cooperation to continue"

BELGRADE -- Serbia will continue to pursue the policy of military neutrality and it will cooperate with all partners in the East and the West, Bratislav Gasic has said.

The defense minister made the statement during his meeting in Belgrade on Friday with Russian Ambassador to Serbia Aleksandr Chepurin.
