The EU's special envoy for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajak, welcomed the decision to reduce the number of members of the so-called Kosovo Police in the north of Kosovo.

"I listened to everything they had to tell us and understood their will to de-escalate the situation. I said that, as always, we will do everything to participate in that process," said Vui.

The association states that "NATO, KFOR and EULEX are aware of this truth".
The trial for the murder of Oliver Ivanovic will be a farce, the real criminals will never be convicted, but the trial will take months and years for two purposes, the association said in a statement.

Zoran Maksimovic told BIRN that police badly damaged his car while trying to remove one of the barricades set up by Serbs in the north of Kosovo during unrest sparked by an operation against organised crime suspects on Tuesday, despite the fact that the vehicle was identified with a 'Press' sign.

The resolution was tabled by the Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS), the Independent Journalists Association of Serbia (NUNS), the Union of Journalists of Serbia (SINOS) and the Association of Journalists of Kosovo (AGK).

This is according to Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who added that the duties of these international force are "enshrined in their mandates."

Serbia's organised crime prosecutor's office on Monday said the Kosovo prosecution had agreed to exchange information on the investigation into the murder of Kosovo Serb politician Oliver Ivanovic.

The statement added that "in case of any warning that might affect the security situation, KFOR is prepared to take any necessary measures to make Kosovo safe"
