The Israeli military has proposed a plan to evacuate civilians from conflict areas in the Gaza Strip, which will be discussed by the government. Alongside evacuation procedures, the plan outlines future military operations and strategies for delivering humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Israel has authorized further discussions to pursue a new ceasefire in Gaza, as reported by AFP citing local sources. Talks are set to continue in Qatar following recent discussions in Paris, focusing on a ceasefire deal in Gaza and the release of hostages held by Hamas.

This morning, air raid sirens blared in the Israeli resort town of Eilat along the Red Sea, as reported by Reuters. The alert was prompted by the anticipated threat of missile or drone strikes.

The Israeli military intensifies its offensive against Hamas in Khan Yunis, employing tanks and aviation in the ongoing operation. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant asserts significant progress, claiming the defeat of the majority of Hamas military units, totaling 18 out of 24 battalions, each comprising a thousand members.

The Israeli military said Wednesday its fighter jets "began a series of strikes in Lebanon", raising fears of a war between the two countries after months of cross-border fire.

The military gave no further details of the air strikes, while Lebanese media reported air raids on southern villages including Adchit, Sawwaneh and Shihabiyeh.

Rockets launched from Lebanon struck the headquarters of the Israeli army's Northern Command, resulting in casualties and injuries. The Israeli military confirmed the attack, describing it as a barrage of "multiple launches" that targeted areas in the north, including a base near the border with Lebanon in Safed.

The Health Ministry of Hamas, the governing authority in the Gaza Strip since 2007, has reported a significantly higher death toll from the Israeli military's overnight operation in Rafah, a town located in the southern part of the enclave.

Hamas warned Israel on Sunday that a ground offensive in Rafah, crowded with displaced Gazans, would imperil future hostage releases, as the Hamas-run territory's health ministry said at least 52 people were killed in heavy air strikes before dawn on Monday.

The strikes hit 14 houses and three mosques in different parts of Rafah, according to the Hamas government.

Israeli air strikes pummelled densely crowded Rafah on Saturday after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered his troops to "prepare to operate" in the southern border city that has become a last holdout for displaced Palestinians.

Netanyahu wants to completely destroy Hamas, which many call unrealistic.
According to the newspaper, US Secret Service officials said in private conversations with members of the US Congress this week that the Israeli military has killed fewer Hamas fighters than Netanyahu claims, estimating that only about a third are armed members of the movement.
