President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on May 20 that Turkey would ensure that any opinion could be freely discussed at universities, as long as it did not serve terrorism, state-run Anadolu Agency has reported.
Nominees for Afife Theater Awards announced
The nominees for the 21st Yapı Kredi Afife Theater Awards were announced on April 3, with a number of young directors and actors up for the top prizes.
In the main categories, the nominees for best director include Şahika Tekand (Waiting for Godot), Nurkan Erpulat (The Ridiculous Darkness), Murat Daltaban (How to Hold Your Breath?), Çağ Çalışkur (Yen) and Mehmet Birkiye (Lungs).
