UNS on murders and disappearances of journalists in Kosovo

Investigating the kidnapping of Ljubomir Knezevic, a journalist from Pristina's Jedinstvo, and a correspondent of Belgrade's Politika, the Journalists Association of Serbia (UNS) found that in 2001, the lawyer Stoja Djuricic, suspected that he was kidnapped by a group led by Gani Ymeri, KLA in the Vucirn region.

Serbia's Iconic Studio B Finds New Owner

Studio B, a symbol of media freedom in the era of Slobodan Milosevic, has been sold for just over half a million euros.

The station is the largest media outlet in Serbia to be sold so far under the recent media privatisation programme.

The sales of two other major media companies, Tanjug news agency and the Novi Sad-based daily, Dnevnik, failed due to the lack of bidders.

UNS and ACJA commemorate fellow journalists

BELGRADE - President of the Journalists Association of Serbia (UNS) Ljiljana Smajlovic and officials of the All-China Journalists Association (ACJA) laid wreaths on Wednesday at the site of the former Chinese embassy in Belgrade, which was destroyed in NATO's bombing campaign against Yugoslavia in 1999, killing three Chinese journalists.
