Theatre and film actor Radko Polič – Rac dies
Ljubljana – Radko Polič – Rac, one of the finest Slovenian actors, has died aged 80, the Slovenian Association of Dramatic Artists (ZDUS) said on Thursday. Polič played in more than 100 theatre productions and as many films and radio plays to create some of the most memorable roles in Slovenian history.

Police launch inquiry in aftermath of claims of rampant sexual abuse
Ljubljana – The police have launched an investigation in the aftermath of media reports and social media testimonies concerning alleged multiple cases of sexual abuse by a prominent member of the art establishment.
City of Women taking visitors through past to future
Ljubljana – The 27th City of Women, a festival of contemporary art, will focus on community art projects, celebration of women’s accomplishments and a reflection on the school system. The festival open on Saturday with a performance by Dr Xenia.
Police file criminal complaint against actor Tribušon over sexual harassment
Ljubljana – Police have filed a criminal complaint against actor and drama teacher Matjaž Tribušon, 58, after young actress Mia Skrbinac publicly accused him of sexually harassing her while she was a student in 2014-2016 and filed a sexual harassment complaint at the University of Ljubljana last spring, the newspaper Delo reported on Tuesday.
Woman’s Day marked by warnings of violence against women
Ljubljana – The Slovenian PEN Centre and Mira, the women’s committee at the centre, warned of violence against women ahead of Woman’s Day, 8 March, while the Manager Association warned of inequalities at work, aggravated by the Covid-19 epidemic. A number of online discussions on the problems and potential of women will be held today.
