The military base at Kandahar Airport, Afghanistan, was once again undergoing a missile attack. The incident happened last night at 22:01 local time, the Ministry of Defense reported. Fortunately, no one of the Bulgarian soldiers there was injured, the office said.

'Saber Guardian 2017' Multinational Exercise Starts in Bulgaria
The biggest multinational exercise in the Black Sea region called ''Saber Guardian 2017'' starts today at the Novo Selo military camp in Southern Bulgaria, reported BGNES.
In the period July 11-20, a total of 18 specialized exercises will take place under the leadership of the US Army Command in Europe on the territory of the three host countries - Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary.
New defense minister meets with Russian and US ambassadors
Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin has met with US Ambassador Kyle Scott, to discuss "further continuation of defense cooperation between the two countries."

Serbian Army again starts calling up reservists
The Serbian Army (VS) plans to call up reservists for training exercises once every five years, since their military obligations end when they turn 65.
This is what Ministry of Defense spokesperson Jovan Krivokapic told the N1 broadcaster, stressing that training exercises "have nothing to do with the security situation or the migrant crisis."
