A new SEESAC report reveals that Saudi Arabia remains one of the biggest buyers of obsolete arms from the Balkans, as other Middle Eastern markets become more interesting for arms dealers from the region.

Secretary of State for Euro-Atlantic Bilateral and Strategic Affairs with the Romanian Foreign Ministry (MAE) George Ciamba, on Tuesday participated in the summit of South East Europe Co-operation Process (SEECP) heads of government at Brdo-pri-Kranju, Slovenia, organised by Slovenia as holder of the organisation's chairmanship in office.

Citizens of the Balkan region are highly sceptical that their countries will be joining the EU anytime soon, despite shows of support for European integration, while a quarter do not believe their country will ever join the EU, the Balkan Barometer 2017 survey has shown.

Secretary General of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) Goran Svilanovic says that Serbia has the capacity to move faster on the road to the EU.

However, he remarked, not everything depends only on Serbia.
