Ventsislav Spiridonov, Director of Bulgaria's Registry Agency has been removed from office through an ordinance of the Justice Ministry coordinated with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

Spiridonov was appointed Director of Bulgaria's Registry Agency in the summer of 2013 during the term in office of Justice Minister Zinaida Zlatanova.

Bulgaria's Supreme Court of Cassation (VKS) has revoked the acquittal on the embezzlement case against the former head of the Registry Agency, Violeta Nikolova.

VKS is returning the case for retrial to the Sofia Appellate Court, according to reports of Sega daily.

As of January 1, 2015, Bulgarians will be able to receive free-of-charge SMS messages for an incoming registration of a trader in the Business Register, as well as for services offered by offices of the Registry Agency.

The 5-year jail term of Violeta Nikolova, former head of the Registry Agency, was revoked by the Sofia Appellate Court on Friday.

In its Friday ruling, the Sofia Appellate Court fully acquitted Nikolova and Totka Stoilova in the trial for the bonus payments at the Registry Agency.

Registry Agency fee reduction will cost individuals and businesses nearly BGN 7M less by the end of 2014, Bulgarian Deputy PM and Justice Minister Zinaida Zlatanova said Tuesday.

During a business conference, Zlatanova pointed out that these funds can be invested in the economy, rather than go to administrative fees, BGNES informs.
