Serbia, Kosovo, Take First Steps To Implement EU Ohrid Deal

Kosovo and Serbia have taken the first steps towards implementation of their verbal deal to normalize relations reached in March in Ohrid, North Macedonia, by establishing a Joint Monitoring Committee to oversee the implementation as well as an initial endorsement of a declaration on missing persons .

Gov't to discuss conclusions of Vucic's meeting with Kosovo Serb representatives

BELGRADE - The Serbian government will hold a session on Saturday to discuss the conclusions of Thursday's meeting between Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and representatives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs, Tanjug learns.

Vucic presented five conclusions after the meeting in Raska, central Serbia.

The meeting was also attended by PM Ana Brnabic and government ministers.

Serbia sells 12-year gov't bonds for 5.685 bln dinars

BELGRADE - The Serbian Public Debt Administration announced on Tuesday it had sold 12-year dinar-denominated government bonds at an auction for 5.685 bln dinars.

In a statement, the Administration said an issue of 12-year Serbian government bonds, maturing on August 20, 2032 and first issued on February 18, 2020, had been reopened earlier in the day.

Council for promoting GDP growth discusses major projects

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic on Thursday chaired a session of a council tasked with coordinating measures and activities promoting GDP growth.

The council discussed the most significant projects.

It concluded that, in Q1 2023, industrial production rebounded and that the services sector saw growth, the Serbian government said in a statement.

Brnabic receives Embalo

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic received Guinea-Bissau President Umaro Sissoco Embalo in Belgrade on Thursday to discuss bilateral relations and economic cooperation.

She noted that Serbia was proud of the decades-long history of excellent relations with Guinea-Bissau and that ties in all areas needed to be advanced, given their untapped potential.
