This new one is the unpleasant incident that occurred in front of the Turkish ambassador's residence in Washington on the day President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met U.S. President Donald Trump.

Turkey cannot be left out of Syria plans: Erdoğan
The United States will be beating a path to Turkey's door regarding upcoming moves in Syria, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said after a meeting with U.S. counterpart Donald Trump in Washington on May 16, noting that Turkey cannot be excluded from the Syrian table.
"Turkey cannot be excluded as a decision-maker," Erdoğan told journalists at the Turkish Embassy in Washington.

Turkish voters in the US begin voting for June 7 elections
Turkish citizens in the U.S. began voting at polling stations inside the Turkish Embassy in Washington and consulates across the country on May 16, for the upcoming June 7 elections.
Some 14,000 Turkish citizens are eligible to vote in Washington D.C., while the overall number of registered Turkish voters in the U.S. is about 90,000.
