Partizan held to goalless draw, Vojvodina win, Cukaricki lose

BELGRADE - Partizan Belgrade were held to a goalless draw by Polish side Zaglebie Lubin at home in Thursday's first leg of the second round of UEFA Europa League qualifiers.

Thanks to a great performance by goalkeeper Martin Polacek, Zaglebie came away undefeated despite being down to ten men from the 55th minute, when Michal Papadopulos was sent off.

Fenerbahçe beats sole rival, reclaims top spot

Fenerbahçe reclaimed top spot in Turkey's Spor Toto Super Lig on Feb. 29 after a 2-0 home victory over city rivals Be?ikta? at the ?ükrü Saraço?lu Stadium, moving two points ahead of the Black and Whites.

Winger Volkan ?en scored the first goal of the game just three minutes in. 

The home side dominated the first half but both sides failed to score another goal.

Russian tourist stabbed in Istanbul

A Russian tourist has been stabbed and hospitalized in Istanbul's touristic Beyo?lu district after fighting a group of people for an unknown reason. 

The 27-year-old tourist, who could not immediately be identified, arrived in Istanbul ahead of a UEFA Europa League football match to support his team, Lokomotiv Moscow, against Be?ikta?. 

Bulgaria's Beroe Leaves UEFA Europa League Championship after 2nd Round Qualifier

Bulgaria's Beroe and Denmark's Brondby ended 0:0 in their second qualifying round decider in the UEFA Europa League championship on Thursday.

Brondby proceeds to the third qualifying round with an aggregate 1:0 win from the two matches against Beroe played in the second round qualifier.

 

Bulgaria's Cherno More Draws, Beroe Loses in Europa League Second Qualifying Round

The two Bulgarian teams participating in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League recorded a draw and a defeat in the first leg, which was played on Thursday.

The holders of the Bulgarian Cup, Cherno More achieved a 1:1 draw against the visitors from Dinamo Minsk.
