Last May, agents of US intelligence were on the streets of Athens trying to find Arab origin people who were related to Islamic State and could have been a threat to the security of their country.

Germany's chief prosecutor has dropped a probe into the alleged tapping of Chancellor Angela Merkel's mobile phone by US intelligence agencies, his office said on June 12.

Germany's foreign intelligence agency helped the CIA track down Osama bin Laden in Pakistan where US special forces killed the al-Qaeda leader, according to a German news report published May 17.
