"I remember how cool we use to feel two years ago when we went abroad to invite artists to perform in Istanbul," said Murat Abbas, the general director of the Zorlu Performing Arts Center. "Turkey - and Istanbul especially - were very popular. Everybody wanted to come." 

PJ Harvey, one of the most iconic musicians of our time, will be in Istanbul.

Well-known fairytale hero Shrek and his companions are on Istanbul's Zorlu PSM stage with 'Shrek the Musical' "Shrek the Musical," which brings the green ogre and his companions to the stage, is in Istanbul for the first stop on its international tour. 

Starting on Jan. 22, the musical will be at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center until Feb. 7.

'Cuisine and Confessions,' a project by Canadian troupe Seven Fingers of the Hand, come to Istanbul in December for six shows The Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV) will host "Les 7 Doigts de la Main" (Seven Fingers of the Hand) with their project "Cuisine and Confessions" in which the company takes acrobatics and dance into the kitchen. 

One of Turkey's oldest festivals, the 25th Akbank Jazz Festival has announced this year's program Celebrating a quarter century of improvisation and music, the Akbank Jazz Festival will be organized between Oct. 21 and Nov. 1 this year with acts from all over the world. 

One of the most popular worldwide shows, which has seen by more than 54 million people in 14 different languages, "Mamma Mia!," Judy Craymer's ingenious vision of staging the story-telling magic of ABBA's timeless songs with an enchanting tale of family and friendship unfolding on a Greek island paradise, will return to Istanbul on Sept. 29 at the Zorlu Performing Arts Center.
