Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva received the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Legal and International Affairs of Iran Abbas Araghchi, writes the Bulgarian National Radio. 

Iran's parliament voted on Aug. 13 to allocate $520 million to develop its missile programme to fight Washington's "adventurism" and sanctions, and to boost the foreign operations of the country's Revolutionary Guards.

Iran said on Aug. 3 that new U.S. sanctions were a violation of its nuclear deal with world powers, piling pressure on President Hassan Rouhani as he started his second term.

Major world powers and Iran will hold fresh talks in Vienna on April 22-23 to build on the framework accord reached on Tehran's contested nuclear programme, the EU announced April 16.
      
The two sides "will continue work towards a comprehensive solution to the Iranian nuclear issue based on the key understandings reached in Switzerland on April 2," a statement said.

 A senior Iranian official in talks on the country's disputed nuclear programme has said differences remain on key questions at the ongoing negotiations in Geneva, state media reported on Feb. 23.
