The 21st International Economy Fair in Mostar, intended to boost economic cooperation between Balkan states, will be opened on Tuesday by President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia, which is a partner in this year's event.

Russian embassies in Croatia, Romania and Macedonia have strongly criticised the three countries' decision to expel diplomats to show solidarity with Britain in the wake of the poisoning of double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter, Yulia.

Albania, Croatia, Macedonia and Romania joined other EU countries in expelling some Russian diplomats on Monday.

Albania expelled two Russian diplomats on Monday, as the EU aspirant country joined the UK, the EU, the US and Canada in a coordinated response to the nerve agent poisoning of  Sergei Skripal, a former Russian intelligence official, and his daughter, Yulia, in Salisbury England.

Andrej Plenkovic announced that his government would decide on this Monday.

The Croatian government urged parliament on Thursday to ratify a European treaty designed to combat violence against women despite opposition within the ruling party, among conservative groups and from the local Catholic Church.

Ante Ramljak confirmed his resignation as manager of Agrokor to the daily Vecernji list after meeting Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and Economy Minister Martina Dalic.

Agrokor confirmed Ramljak's resignation on Wednesday.

BRUSSELS - Croatian PM Andrej Plenkovic said in Brussels on Wednesday Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's visit to Zagreb had opened all topics and that a methodology for further dialogue had been agreed.

ZAGREB - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday he had discussed the issue of war reparations with Andrej Plenkovic at the insistence of the Croatian PM.

Vucic said this in a statement to reporters as he was walking across Zagreb's Markov trg towards the Croatian parliament building, where he met with Speaker Goran Jandrokovic.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has announced that a planned two-day visit to Croatia will go ahead on Monday and Tuesday - despite contined acrimony between the two countries, and after Serbia's Defence Minister claimed he could even be killed there.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said Wednesday his upcoming visit to Croatia would be in good faith and that the Serbian delegation would be comprised of experts wishing to solve problems from the past, but, above all, to discuss the future.
