Diplomatic rift between Israel, Turkey

Israel said Saturday that it was recalling its diplomats from Turkey over "increasingly harsh statements" coming from the government in Ankara.

The announcement came after Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, told a massive protest crowd in Istanbul that his government was preparing to declare Israel a "war criminal" due to its actions in the Gaza Strip. 

Brnabic: Serbia wants to develop and expand economic ties with Israel

BELGRADE - At a meeting with Israeli FM Eli Cohen in Belgrade, Serbian PM Ana Brnabic noted that Serbia-Israel relations were based on "close historic ties between Serbs and Jews."

According to a government statement, Brnabic said Israel was Serbia's most important external trade partner in the Middle East and its fourth most significant on the Asian continent.

Dacic, Cohen: Time to return to positive agenda in Serbia-Israel ties

BELGRADE - The FMs of Serbia and Israel, Ivica Dacic and Eli Cohen, said on Wednesday in Belgrade it was time to consolidate Serbia-Israel relations and develop bilateral cooperation and a positive agenda in many areas, which they noted would benefit both countries and both peoples.

Vucic receives Cohen

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received Israeli FM Eli Cohen on Wednesday and expressed the expectation the Israeli side, despite recognising the unilaterally declared independence of the so-called Kosovo, would show understanding for Serbian positions on Kosovo-Metohija.
