Dora Bakopoulos, the artistic director of the Aegina International Music Festival, will be inaugurating the 14th edition of the annual event on the Saronic island on August 7. For almost three weeks, classical music aficionados will be able to enjoy performances by a plethora of musicians from Greece and abroad.

Savvopoulos to lead host of voices in charity concert
Dozens of Greek artists are coming together to root for a good cause, as the Oloi Mazi Boroume (Together We Can) campaign presents one of this summer's biggest concerts on Wednesday, July 12.

Dionysis Savvopoulos takes the stage at Gazarte in a special show commemorating his 1966 hit album "Fortigo," in which he'll perform career-spanning songs intermixed with anecdotes. The prominent singer-songwriter will be joined on stage by singers Katerina Polemi, Themos Skandamis and Evi Mazi, as well as musicians Yiotis Kiourtsoglou and Dimitris Lappas. Shows start at 9.30 p.m.

Brazilian Day in Athens | Athens | September 18
The first edition of the Brazilian Day in Athens is scheduled to take place on Sunday, September 18, at the Gazarte venue in central Athens. The event includes capoeira and Brazilian dance workshops (6-10 p.m.), live music (8 p.m. to midnight) and a DJ set with Brazilian music.
