The government pulled out proposed changes to the rules for disability assessment on 10th of April. The decision was announced by Bulgaria's Health Minister Kiril Ananiev following a meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Tomislav Donchev, Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov and Social Minister Bisser Petkov.

719,000 Bulgarians are uninsured by the end of 2017, according to BGNES. An analysis of non-health insured persons in Bulgaria by the Risk Management Directorate with the National Revenue Agency was prepared as early as 2014.

New 400 ambulances will be purchased for Emergency Medical Care. This was announced by Health Minister Kiril Ananiev of the Parliamentary Tribune, quoted by the Bulgarian National Radio. Currently, the procurement documentation is being prepared.

The National Framework Agreement of the National Health Insurance Fund was signed in the Ministry of Health on 28th of February. According to the Health Minister, Kiril Ananiev, the agreement is better than the previous one and expects to bring peace to the system.

After being accused of lying about the debts of the Health Fund to foreign funds, Prof. Kamen Plochev, the Governor of the institution, proved to be right. The check of the cashier's supervisory board showed that we owe 271 million leva for treatment of our citizens abroad, 133 million leva, of which overdue, and this year we can repay only 70 million leva of them.

Bulgaria's Minister of Health, Kiril Ananiev, is preparing a new health insurance model. It will be presented for discussion in the summer, and if adopted by the MPs, the model will come into force in the spring of next year.

Six new outpatient emergency centers will be opened in Zemliyane, Pirogov Hospital and Diagnostic and Consultation Centers - 5, 12, 23 and 24.

The Council of Ministers adopted legislative changes to curb the illegal parallel export of medicines, Nova TV reported.

According to them, if a drug systematically for one month is not delivered to five pharmacies, it will be banned for export.

Control will now also be electronic. An information system is being set up to track the path of medicines.
